Prague is full of never-ending surprises for fashion lovers. From hidden markets to chic boutiques, visitors looking to find emerging designers and one-of-a-kind pieces won’t be disappointed when visiting the Czech Republic’s capital.

The best shops in Prague for fashion lovers

Pařížská Street

As the name implies, Pařížská is technically a street, not a shop, but here you’ll find the shops all set up one next to the other, in luxurious Art Nouveau buildings, making the place feel like one giant flowing shopping area. Pařížská’s tree-lined street is the only place where you’ll find Louis Vuitton, Prada, Hermès, and Cartier, among others. Close to Old Town Square and near the river Vltava (from where you can board breathtaking cruises day or night), Pařížská Street feels a lot more intimate than Fifth Avenue or Paris’ Avenue Montaigne and is the perfect place for an evening stroll, especially after the window lights have turned on.

Bohemian Retro

Run by a British fashion and textile designer, Bohemian Retro has everything you want in a vintage store: a fun and knowledgeable owner, affordable prices, and all the quirk, boldness, and variety you might ever want in your dresses, hats, and blouses. Look closely to discover the little treasures among the many clothing racks—here, purses line the walls, and brooches, hats, and sunglasses pop up from shelves and baskets.

Mint Marker

Prague’s first and only fashion market is the place to go for independent fashion, handmade designs, and even homemade cosmetics. Located in a hip, old warehouse, Mint helped revive an area that was once “just a quiet industrial neighborhood” into a popular shopping location. The market is only open on weekends and features over 150 booths showcasing some of the newest, best, and most innovative designers in Prague. If you’re looking for brands you can’t find anywhere else, this is the place to go.

The most fashionable place to eat

Zlata Praha Zlata Praha (which translates to Golden Prague) has the perfect location on the rooftop of the Intercontinental Hotel and has long been considered one of the finest restaurants in Prague. No matter what table you choose, you’ll get stunning panoramic views of Prague, (hint: it’s even better at night, when the lights are turned down and the tables are illuminated by candlelight). Order one of their international dishes—their tartare made from Scottish salmon regularly gets rave reviews—and sit under the ornate white ceilings to watch some of the best dressed people in Prague.

Where to hang out

Sa Sa Zu If you want to grab a drink while watching some of the most fashionable people in Prague strut their stuff, head to Sa Sa Zu, where the décor is as sleek and stylish as the people who frequent the place. Dress to impress and then dance to top performers and bands (One Republic has performed here, for example) until the sun comes up.

A fashionable place to visit

DOX Center for Contemporary Art There are lots of art galleries in Prague, but probably none is more forward-thinking and fashionable than the DOX Center for Contemporary Art. Alternative art and unique fashion go hand in hand with the space here, which features exhibitions from artists all around the world. A great place to catch thought-provoking artists showcasing their best work and get a glimpse of fast-forward fashion all in one place.
